Due to inclement weather, there will be no MIDWEEK SERVICE, 3/3/26.

Matthew 2:5 (NLT)

“Tell the people of Jerusalem, ‘Look, your King is coming to you. He is humble, riding on a donkey—riding on a donkey’s colt.’”

There’s something incredibly comforting about a dependable person, someone who follows through, shows up early, and does more than they promise. We all know someone like that. In fact, for me, that person is my father-in-law. He is faithful, early to every commitment, and consistently dependable.

But if a flawed human can make me feel that safe and supported, imagine the confidence we can have in an unfailing God.

Dependability at Its Best

God never fails to show up—not once, not ever.

We don’t have to remind Him, worry if He’s running behind, or wonder if He’ll be there when we need Him. His Word declares He will never leave us nor forsake us. And He’s proven it time and time again.

Even on our worst days, when we’re overwhelmed, fearful, tired, or unsure, He is already present. He’s a step ahead, clearing the path, preparing the way, and working in the background. You might not always feel Him, but His faithfulness is never dependent on our emotions. It’s rooted in His nature.

God Is Always One Step Ahead

Look through the pages of Scripture, and you’ll see it again and again:

  • Moses—God showed up in every plague and every challenge.
  • Joshua—Before he ever fought a battle, God had already promised victory.

“Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
—Deuteronomy 31:8 (NLT)

God’s pattern has never changed. He always goes before us. He always shows up.

Palm Sunday: A King Who Came for Us

On Palm Sunday, we celebrate the moment Jesus rode into Jerusalem, fulfilling the prophecy of Zechariah:

“Look, your King is coming to you… riding on a donkey’s colt.” —Zechariah 9:9

This wasn’t just a symbolic parade. This was the beginning of the most important week in human history. Jesus wasn’t showing up for fanfare—He was showing up to save. To heal. To redeem. To die. And to rise again.

He didn’t come just to make us feel better—He came to set us free.

There’s Still a Seat at the Table

Even in betrayal, Jesus still made space. When Judas was on the verge of selling Him out, Jesus still gave him a seat at the table. Why? Because that’s who He is. The end game is not about us feeling good, it is about us being SET FREE. That is why He shows up.

He always shows up.
And He always makes room.

So if you’ve drifted, walked away, or even betrayed Him, don’t believe the lie that He’s finished with you. He’s not. Today is the perfect day to return. If there was still a seat for Judas at the last Supper then there’s still a seat for you.

Your Failure Doesn’t Cancel His Faithfulness

Let that truth sink in.

God doesn’t stop being faithful because you messed up. If that were the case, none of the heroes of faith would have made it. But they did—because God kept showing up for them.

And He’ll keep showing up for you.

Final Thought

Palm Sunday reminds us of a simple, powerful truth: The King is coming for you.

Not just to cheer you up, but to save your soul. Not just to impress, but to redeem and restore. He’s dependable. He’s faithful. And He’s here.

So wherever you are, whether you feel strong or shattered, know this: He’s already there. And He’s not going anywhere.
