Luke 18:27 says, “And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”

Your Miracle Doesn’t Rely on You Alone

Let’s be clear: Your miracle isn’t going to happen because of your talents, abilities, or even your resources. It’s not going to come because you have a degree or a collection of memorized scriptures. It’s not even guaranteed just because you’ve known Jesus for a long time. Miracles don’t happen based on what you can do alone; they happen because of God’s power working through your limited resources.

God doesn’t need us to perform His miracles, but in His grace, He allows us to be a part of the process. He takes our limited faith, abilities, and resources, and multiplies them with His limitless power. You plus God is always more than enough.

Faith: The Key Ingredient to the Miraculous

What’s the secret to unlocking the miraculous in our lives? Faith. We need to believe, even when things seem impossible. If you can trust that God has the power to perform the impossible, you will witness miracles in your life.

The Loaves and Fishes

One story that beautifully illustrates this principle is the feeding of the 5,000 with the loaves and fishes from the little boy’s lunch. This story has been on my heart for several months now, and it’s impossible to ignore the message it holds. Here’s why:

In this moment, a young boy offered his humble lunch to Jesus—just five loaves of bread and two fish. The adults around him doubted its sufficiency. “What are they among so many?” they asked. Faith was absent from the disciples but present in a child. But that little bit of faith, expressed through the boy’s willingness to give what he had, was enough. The miracle occurred not because of the lunch itself, but because of the faith behind it.

The Power of Letting Go

What can we learn from this? Sometimes, we hold on to things we fear letting go of, thinking they’re too small or insignificant to make a difference. The disciples saw a problem, but the boy saw an opportunity for God to work. When we surrender our limited resources, we open the door for God to move in miraculous ways.

The Miracle Starts with Faith

In John 6: 5-13, we read that Jesus asked Philip:

5 “When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat? 6 And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do. 7 Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little. 8 One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, saith unto him,9here is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?10 And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. 11 And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.12 When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.13 Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten. “

When God does the work, this is what happens…

Ephesians 3:20 “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,”

This story shows us that even when we don’t see a way, God already knows the outcome. The miracle always begins with faith in the face of the impossible. He will do it far more then we can ever ask or think.

Conclusion: Trusting God for the Impossible

The lesson is clear: God is in the business of turning the impossible into the possible. Your miracle is not bound by your limitations—it’s bound by your faith in a limitless God.

Let’s remember: You plus God always equals the miraculous. So, what are you waiting for? Offer what you have, believe that God can work in the impossible, and watch as He transforms your little into something extraordinary.
