Due to inclement weather, there will be no MIDWEEK SERVICE, 3/3/26.

Do More. Doubt Less.

“Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.”
James 2:17 (KJV)

James does not leave room for confusion.
Faith that stands alone, without action is dead.

The Amplified Bible says faith without works is “inoperative and ineffective.”
The Message Bible puts it bluntly:

“God-talk without God-acts is outrageous nonsense.”

In other words…talk is cheap.

A Quote the World Understands

There’s a quote that’s been used by several athletic companies and programs. It simply says:

“Do More. Doubt Less.”

When you look into why the world uses this phrase, the meaning becomes clear.

It’s a call to action.
A refusal to stay stuck in overthinking and insecurity.
A belief that doing something imperfectly is better than doing nothing at all.

At its core, the message says:

  • Inaction caused by fear is more dangerous than making mistakes
  • Confidence comes after action, not before
  • Growth happens through movement, not certainty
  • Momentum beats paralysis

If the world believes in doing more and doubting less,
how much more should the Church put action with our faith?

Kingdom work is not optional.
It is necessary to fulfill the will of God in our lives.

Faith Requires Action

There is no such thing as faith that doesn’t move.

Idleness is not just laziness, it can become an open door to sin.
Faith that refuses to act eventually decays.

Kingdom Works require Kingdom effort.

What Scripture Says About Laziness

The Bible is very clear on this issue.

Proverbs 6:6–11 (NLT) tells us to learn from the ants.
They work without supervision.
They prepare ahead of time.
They understand seasons.

Scripture warns:

“A little extra sleep, a little more slumber… and poverty will pounce on you like a bandit.”

Proverbs 20:4 says those who refuse to work in season will have nothing at harvest.

Romans 12:11 commands us:

“Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.”

Colossians 3:23 reminds us:

“Work willingly… as though you were working for the Lord.”

Paul goes even further in 2 Thessalonians 3, warning against idle believers who avoid work and become busy in everyone else’s business.

Idleness doesn’t just stop productivity, it often creates problems.

We should never take advantage of:

  • other people’s generosity
  • other people’s willingness to serve
  • other people’s obedience

Kingdom work is everyone’s responsibility.

Abraham: Faith That Moved

Abraham is one of the clearest examples of faith in action.

Hebrews 11:8 tells us:

“By faith Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home… he went without knowing where he was going.”

God called Abraham to:

  • leave familiarity
  • leave comfort
  • step into the unknown

All Abraham had was a promise.

And that promise required movement.

He didn’t wait until everything made sense.
He didn’t ask for a backup plan.
He didn’t negotiate.

“So Abram departed as the Lord had instructed.”

The promise could not be fulfilled until Abraham acted.

He had to do more
and doubt less.

A Personal Question

So now the question shifts to us:

  • What has God called you to do that you’ve doubted?
  • What instruction have you received, but never acted on?
  • Where have you prayed, but refused to move?

Faith that never leaves the prayer closet never changes the world.

Today, that can change.

The Gospel Reminder

Here’s the truth we all need to hear:

Don’t pray about what God has already told you to do.

When the people heard the Word in Acts 2, they didn’t ask for another sermon.
They asked a simple question:

“Men and brethren… what shall we do?”

That is the right response to real faith.

Not more discussion.
Not more delay.
Action.

Today is a day for Kingdom Works.
Do more.
Doubt less.
Move in faith. 🙌🏽
