We believe that when you experience the Gospel of Jesus Christ – the death (repentance), the burial (baptism), and the resurrection (receiving the Holy Ghost) – YOU ARE TRANFORMED!
I am not talking about a tune up. I am not talking about just some new tires and alignment that gets messed up at the next pothole in your life.
I am not talking about touch up paint or repairs or making do. God is not in the business of patching up our lives or in the business of just covering up mistakes.
He is in the business of transforming our lives.
As humans, we like to patch things, paint over things, temporarily rig things together when something goes wrong. We try to just “get by” for a few more days or a few more weeks or a few more months. And we ALL know that living by trying just to “get by” doesn’t work out too well.
Matter of fact, just getting by will always fail you in the end…… ALWAYS. That is why God is not in the business of patching us up just so we can barely make it back to church next Sunday.
We should look forward to next Sunday and be excited to worship together…. but we should not need to have a tow truck bring us in every week because we have settled for a tune up, a quick fix or touch up paint.
If you are tired of just patching your life up, you have come to the right place. You can be changed, transformed, made totally new TODAY!
Here is what Paul said:
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17
The culture of this world tries to tell you that you have some type of disadvantage in your life for whatever reason they deem necessary. And the reasons seem to change week by week, month by month and year by year!
The customs of the world will try to put some type of patch on you for some type of quick fix. Patches never last. They will always fail at some point. It might not be today, it might not be next week, but sooner or later, it will fail.
Patches Don’t Work!
We are fighting a culture that is at war with our souls…. I promise you this.
This culture’s end game is not about this life. It is after our afterlife… eternity!!! If you just thought it was about today’s current events, you are wrong. If the Lord chooses to tarry any longer, there will be a different current event next year that will be at war with our souls.
We must reject this world’s culture and customs. This includes the way it thinks, what it does, how it acts and reacts. Instead, we need to embrace Kingdom Culture.
When you are transformed by the power of the gospel, you no longer belong to this world. YOU BELONG TO HIM and HIS KINGDOM.
Every day, we are in a fight. And not in the physical.
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” 2 Corinthians 10:3-5
We have to think the way God thinks, not how the world thinks~
“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:” Philippians 2:5
Are you ready to be transformed and not be patched? Submit yourself to Him and you can be made new!
